On 23 February the Department of Civil, Environmental, Territorial and Architecture Engineering (DICATeA) of the University of Parma was commissioned by the Technical Service of the Po tributaries of the Emilia-Romagna Region to investigate the “Risk scenarios relating to the districts of the city of Parma affected by the flooding of the Baganza stream on October 13, 2014 in support of the changes to the current defensive structure and to the local alert system “. The working group is made up of researchers, fellows and PhD students of the HyLab laboratory of DICATeA, under the scientific responsibility of prof. Paolo Mignosa, full professor of Hydraulic Construction at the University and Director of the Department. As part of these studies, even if not specifically requested, the simulation of the flood event of last October 13 on the Baganza stream was carried out.
